Existentialist, Uk-ekstremmetal

Gray Hayhurst, progressiv rock/metal.
Albumet kom ut 27. juni, og er for fans av Haken, Kyros og Opeth. Forklaringen hun selv har på skiva: «…An amalgamation of all my influences from all genres and eras of media got put into this record. 70s prog rock, sci-fi, orchestral music, modern progressive metal, solos that go on a bit too long, an epic finalé with callback lyrics and motifs.»
Tipset kommer fra Tom Brumpton@Polymath.
Grace har en lite optimistisk oppfatning av verden. «I truly do believe that the world is dying, and that there isn’t much we can do about it – even if a revolution were to occur. Humanity is doomed one way or another, due to climate change, or the selfish actions of oligarchs. Or maybe a super-volcano will reactivate, covering our atmosphere in ash, making planet earth uninhabitable. Maybe I should go back to therapy…»
Videre forteller hun at hun ser skiva som «….science fiction turned horrid reality. The pushback of the disparity of economic capital on planet earth. Watching idiotic figures like Elon Musk waste our planet’s resources to jet off to Mars for his own personal masturbatory pleasure, leaving the rest of us all behind to fend for ourselves, instead of trying to sort out the problems we have on earth first to enable us all to lead better lives.»
