J.N.: «In the Dying Rooms of London basically came out of my deep-seated passion and love for British crime stories – be they in the shape of books, TV series or films – and the rich history, splendid architecture, and pulsating atmosphere of the great city. The notion of remembrance and shared history also came into play, albeit in more subtle ways. There are also nods to the villainous characters that frequent the Sherlock Holmes legacy by Conan Doyle, so there you pretty much have it.»
