«During the recording of A Million Years, the band set out to create a sound that feels timeless yet relevant to today’s rock scene. With producer Leif Herland at the helm, the process has been both uncompromising and inspiring. Not only did he shape the overall sound, but he also guided the band to deliver their very best performances.
Special attention has been given to Marius’ vocals, both melodically and stylistically, to capture the essence of the genre. He’s been supported by both Leif Herland and the pop artist Anniken Løvstad Philipps (known under her artist name NAADE), resulting in a vocal performance that stands strong within a massive yet controlled soundscape.
The album draws clear inspiration from Swedish Witchcraft and their ability to bridge the gap between retro and modern expression, with roots reaching all the way back to Black Sabbath’s Vol. 4. A Million Years is an album that nods to the past while pointing toward the future, capturing the essence of heavy, melodic, and honest rock with both power and precision.»
