‘At the Gates of Valhalla’ (Audio Production – FP Audiolabs) kommer ut 15. oktober.

«Tol Morwen, a melodic death metal band from Modena, are ready to unleash their first album. This work marks a significant step forward in their musical journey, delivering a powerful blend of epic atmospheres with elements of Melodic Death Metal and Folk.

The album draws heavily on Norse mythology and the deeds of Nordic warriors. The only exception is the track O Ghostly Fire, which steps away from Scandinavian themes to explore a local legend: the Fuochi di Barigazzo, a phenomenon tied to the Modenese Apennines. This piece unites the band’s roots with their musical inspiration, building a bridge between distant myth and the folklore of their homeland.

The track Rise of the Ancient Gods adds a conceptual depth to the album. Through a metaphorical lens, it addresses humanity’s growing disconnection from nature, stifled by an increasingly digital world. The song serves as a call to re-establish this fragile bond.

At the Gates of Valhalla also includes three previously released songs: Fate of Gods, Ragnar, and Unchained. Originally part of the EP Rise of the Fury, these tracks have been remastered and enriched with orchestrations and traditional Norse instruments.»
