Deathseeker@Facebook

Splittskiva bærer navnet ‘Sons Of Thunder’, og beskrives som en utgivelse som forener to extremmetalartister på tvers av generasjoner, «…uniting legacy material and modern production in a single, powerful statement.»

Tyr@Facebook

«The album combines the dark, ritualistic intensity of Deathseeker with the raw and authentic sound of TYR, whose material originates from recordings made within the Norwegian underground scene in the late 1990s. The TYR tracks have been carefully restored and remastered to meet contemporary sonic standards while preserving their original atmosphere and character.

Deathseeker contributes material recorded in 2015, presenting a dense, atmospheric, and cinematic approach to extreme metal – combining crushing heaviness, ruthless riffs, and strong dynamic depth.»

Kællen og mer

Produsenter på innholdet er Kris Zorn og Ketil Kællen Johansen. Lydbildet på alt av materiale har blitt pusset opp i Kællen Studio i Fredrikstad, og remastret i Empty Hall Studio i Madrid, » …resulting in a cohesive listening experience despite the recordings spanning different eras.

Ketil Kællen Johansen is a genuine cult figure in the Norwegian metal underground. Long before black metal erupted onto the global stage, he was already forging the raw, morbid, and unmistakably Norwegian necro sound from his studio in Fredrikstad. As the producer behind Cadaver’s legendary debut Hallucinating Anxiety, recorded at Kællen Studio in the winter of 1989/1990, Kællen stands as one of the earliest and most credible architects of the sonic and visual aesthetic that would later become notorious around the world. Likewise, Abhorrent’s ‘Occultus Brujeria‘ demo, recorded at Kællen’s studio in April-May 1990, remains one of the earliest sonic artifacts from the violent borderlands where Norwegian death metal began morphing into black metal.»

Fortid og nåtid

Sons Of Thunder’ leser vi forener fortid og nåtid, «…a testament to continuity, dedication, and the enduring spirit of the Norwegian underground metal tradition, with a special nod to the Sarpsborg scene, an important local stronghold during the formative years of Norway’s underground movement.»
